Please do! We love for our members to share the experience with friends! Members may bring 1 guest free per month

Do I have to be a member to visit Mindplay Studio?

If you are not yet a member we would love for you to come by for a tour or open house event to experience the space and meet our members! To find out when the next open house event will be, check our calendar and join the mailing list! This policy helps us to keep membership costs down and improve member experience while in the studio. Do I have to be a member to register for classes?

Many of our activities are offered to members-only but independent instructor-led classes are open to the public and do not require membership. 

Can I bring my baby or older child?

Mindplay studio space is designed and equipped with learning materials for children ages 3-12. We recognize that siblings may fall outside of that age range. We do provide a sensory and movement area for our smallest guests. Older siblings are welcome to come along, bringing their own activities and utilize our maker space.

Are you a school?

Mindplay Studio is an open co-learning prepared environment. Our members follow many different kinds of self-selected curriculum. Members may self-organize for collaborative learning on projects, book clubs, poetry tea time etc  Members may also have the opportunity to offer learning experiences to other members. The Studio offers a wealth of resources for use by homeschoolers and others outside the traditional school setting. The space also offers access to wi-fi for distance learning and research. Most importantly, it offers the opportunity for cooperative learning in a way not possible in the home setting.

I see you are a non profit organization. Are you religious?

Mindplay Studio greatly values diversity of all kinds. As such, our members come from many different cultural and spiritual paths. All beliefs are welcome here.

Do you offer tutoring?

Mindplay Studio does not offer formal tutoring services. 

Can I drop off my child at Mindplay Studio?

This space is designed to support home educators  to co-learn with one another. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while in the studio.

Can we bring food or drinks to the studio?

Yes! You are welcome to enjoy a snack or lunch on our HUGE front porch equipped with large tables and chairs. In inclement weather we also share a small kitchen with our big green house neighbors.  We only ask that you clean up after enjoying any food or drink in the kitchen and wash your hands before re-entering the studio. Inside the studio we ask that you only bring non-alcoholic beverages in sealed bottles, cups with lids or sippy cups. Also, don't forget the picnic tables across the street at the Lawrenceville Lawn and the fantastic eateries & specialty coffee available on the square! Read more about our location, here!

Do you offer classes?

Mindplay studio offers special events including demonstrations and workshops that are included in your membership! Families are welcome to coordinate and collaborate with one another. Mindplay may host various classes offered by members of the community. Such classes are arranged by independent instructors.

Do you have a program for teens?

Our spaces are geared to ages 3 years - 12 years but as new members join and current members age, we anticipate adding opportunities for older children. Older children do enjoy our maker space.

Yes!  We are a designated 501c3 public charity!  Donations are tax deductible and always welcome!  Your donations make it possible for us to serve this community! Please check with your financial advisor/ tax preparer for details.
